      <title>A bunch of different eats</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/17/a-bunch-of-different-eats.html</link>
<description>Hey guys!  Hope everyone is having a great day so far!
Here&#8217;s the rest of yesterday&#8217;s eats:
Lunch:
Toast, lasagna, broccoli
Snacks: Several Three Musketeers chocolates.  And a soft pretzel.
Dinner: 1 large slice as well as 1 small slice of chicken as well as broccoli pizza.  A miniscule bit of romaine lettuce drizzled with olive oil as well as balsamic vinaigrette, plus pomegranate seeds on top.
I ate dinner pretty early as well as just wasn&#8217;t feeling that hungry afterwards, so I didn&#8217;t eat anything else on behalf of the day.
This morning I woke up really, really hungry!
Breakfast:
Oatmeal, banana, pomegranate seeds
I also had a glass of milk on the side.
But then I was still hungry so I had two soft pretzels.  I forgot to snap a pic of them, but this is a picture of the box:

So easy!  All you have to do is heat it in the microwave on behalf of 30 seconds!  Yum!  I never utilize the salt - I think it tastes just fine without it.
Anyway, I was extremely full at the end of all this food - should have stuck to just one pretzel.  But I still somehow managed to fit in a Three Musketeers bar as part of my breakfast!
Lunch:  Wasn&#8217;t that hungry - had a chicken patty.
Snack: Welch&#8217;s fruit snacks.  Sooo good!

That&#8217;s all my eats on behalf of now.  Will update with the rest later.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!

      <title>Lovely pomegranate seeds</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/16/lovely-pomegranate-seeds.html</link>
<description>Today&#8217;s breakfast featured lovely pomegranate seeds!  I just love the pop of color they add to any meal!
Oatmeal, pomegranate seeds
I had oatmeal with pomegranate seeds, and oh my goodness, it was sooo good!  I loved the sweet/tart flavor they added!  Definitely a new favorite combo!
I only had a little bit of oatmeal - about a 1/4 cup of oatmeal with 1/2 cup of water because of the fact that I was heating it in the microwave as well as didn&#8217;t desire it to overflow.  So 2 minutes on medium power- it came out fine but was still a little bit watery.  So I decided to put it back in on behalf of 30 seconds on medium power.  Well, you can guess what happened!  It started overflowing after 12 seconds!  D&#8217;oh!  Luckily, I was watching it as well as was able to stop it before the whole thing overflowed!  So I cleaned up up the microwave, as well as then mixed my oatmeal again - it seemed just right.  But&#8230; by the time I took pictures of the oatmeal as well as the yogurt combo I made right afterwards, the oatmeal had soaked all of the water up as well as it was kind of dry!  Haha, too funny.  Next time I&#8217;ll just stick to 1/4 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, 2 minutes on medium power as well as by the time I&#8217;m ready to eat, the oatmeal shall be just perfect!
Plain Chobani yogurt, banana slices, pomegranate seeds
So since I needed something else to fill me up, I had a plain Chobani yogurt on the side. I added about two big spoonfuls of strawberry jam to sweeten it up.  And then I also decided to add some banana slices (about half of a small banana) as well as some pomegranate seeds.  Hmmm, I think next time I could probably add one big spoonful or spoonful as well as a half instead since it was a little bit too sweet.  But overall it was good.
All in all, a yummy breakfast.  You can bet I&#8217;ll be having it again soon!

      <title>Mix-It-Up Monday</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/16/mixitup-monday.html</link>
<description>Hey guys!  Time on behalf of Mix-It-Up Monday!  Been a while since I&#8217;ve posted one of these!
Let&#8217;s discuss the show, Friends.
Favorite character?

Mine would have to be Ross.  I just love him.  He&#8217;s just so sweet.

Favorite quote?

&#8220;We were on a break!&#8221;

Favorite moment?

Definitely from the very last episode.  When Rachel said she was still getting on the plane, my heart just broke on behalf of Ross.  But then Ross goes home, hears her message on the answering machine as well as says, &#8220;Did she get off the plane?&#8221; as well as I was sooo happy when Rachel showed up right then as well as said, &#8220;I got off the plane.&#8221;  I was sooo happy they ended up back together.  It just wouldn&#8217;t be right otherwise!

Okay, now your turn.  Tell me your:
1.) Favorite character from Friends.
2.) Favorite quote (can be from a different character).
3.) Favorite moment from the show.

5.) Lauren ~ AthlEAT
Lauren is a runner who has a great food philosophy!  When I first went to her blog, I was just in awe of how numerous races she has completed!  Lauren has recently completed two marathons - one with her boyfriend as well as one with her father.  For the first race, she kept by her boyfriend&#8217;s side the whole time since it was his first marathon.  I think it&#8217;s great that she was able to jog it with him as well as not worry about herself as well as her time, but to enjoy the experience together.  The second race she ran with her father.  In her recap, she told of how the race was pretty hard, but that she was going to complete no matter what.  I admire her determination!  She perservered as well as ran on, as well as never gave up!  That&#8217;s a great lesson on behalf of all of us - Just getting to the complete line is an achievement in as well as of itself!  The rest is just icing on the cake!  Oh, as well as by the way, she seems like an awesome cook!

      <title>A ton of fun!</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/14/a-ton-of-fun.html</link>
<description>Recently I&#8217;ve been seeing a lot of bloggers eating pomegranate seeds.  I&#8217;ve been wanting to endeavour them as well as today I did!  I cut open a pomegranate as well as removed the seeds, which was a ton of fun!
I didn&#8217;t take any pictures when I cut the pomegranate open, but here&#8217;s a link to what it looks like inside with all of the seeds:
http://www.pomegranates.org/faq.html
And here's a helpful link on how to get the seeds out:
http://www.pomegranates.org/nomess.html
I was so pleased to discover how numerous seeds the pomegranate contained!  Here is a pic of a pomegranate, it&#8217;s about the size of the one I cut up, contigous to how numerous seeds I got!  Basically, the whole pomegranate was filled with seeds, and they shall fill up a container that is about the same size.
Pomegranate seeds, pomegranate
Another picture, this time just of the container of pomegranate seeds.
Pomegranate seeds
Sorry that picture was a little blurry!
And here&#8217;s another picture of the seeds!  Aren&#8217;t they pretty!  I love the vibrant color!  They look like pretty little jewels!
Pomegranate seeds, pomegranate
I ate a couple of pomegranate seeds while I was placing them in the container.  They taste pretty good - a little bit tart, but not as tart as I had expected - it actually had a lovely bit of sweetness to it.  I can&#8217;t wait to add them to salads as well as other dishes!

      <title>Can’t think of a title</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/10/cant-think-of-a-title.html</link>
<description>Hey guys, sorry about the title - just couldn&#8217;t think of one!
Anyway, here are today&#8217;s eats:
Breakfast:
Oatmeal, banana, cinnamon
Usually I just add some slices of banana to my oatmeal.  But on behalf of some reason I felt like adding cinnamon on top, which was kind of weird because of the fact that I had tried it before as well as hated it!  Well this time I absolutely loved it!  I think I&#8217;ll start sprinkling some cinnamon on top of my oatmeal from now on!
Lunch: No pic, forgot - Sorry!  I had some lasagna, a small slice of garlic bread, as well as three miniscule apple slices.  I just wasn&#8217;t in the mood to eat an entire apple on behalf of some reason.  Don&#8217;t worry - the rest is saved on behalf of later!
Dinner:
Brown rice, scallops, tomatoes, peppers
This is one of my new favorite things to eat.  The recipe is from the Betty Crocker Healthy Heart Cookbook.  I think I have had scallops once or twice before as well as didn&#8217;t really like them.  But I like them in this dish because of the fact that of the tomatoes as well as peppers - the taste of the scallops is still there but it kind of takes on the flavor of the tomatoes as well as peppers.  It&#8217;s kind of like sardines that are canned in tomato sauce - they still taste like sardines, but take on the flavor of the tomato sauce.  Hope that makes sense!
Snacks: I had probably four or five chocolate chip cookies today.  Two in the afternoon, as well as I think two (or maybe it was three?) in the evening.  Probably should have had some yogurt on behalf of one of my snacks or a piece of fruit, but I&#8217;ll just manufacture sure I do that tomorrow.
Exercise: I walked on behalf of about an hour today!  Awesome!
Coming up tomorrow: Product Review on Arnold&#8217;s Sandwich Thins!

      <title>Actually Cooked!</title>
      <link>http://baileycoats5j.friendlinkup.com/2008/11/07/actually-cooked.html</link>
<description>Good morning everyone!  Hope you all are having a great day so far.  Right now I&#8217;m munching on some cantaloupe - you know how I love cantaloupe!  In a little bit I&#8217;m probably also going to have an omelette as well as a glass of milk&#8230;and maybe a piece of toast with butter.  Sounds good.
Oh, as well as last night was exciting because I actually cooked!  I made French Onion Soup!  It turned out okay, but needed a bit more flavor.
I made a few changes to the recipe I used, including omitting the thyme since it said a 1/2 teaspoon of fresh thyme, as well as I only had dried.  I tried to see how much dried thyme I should utilize instead but could only find recipes using fresh sprigs of thyme, not teaspoons.  I decided to just omit the thyme because of the fact that I didn&#8217;t desire to put too much in and have it overpower everything as well as ruin the soup.   But I think that maybe it was a typo as well as it actually did really mean to utilize dried thyme, not fresh, which I&#8217;ll endeavour next time.
Also, I used whole wheat bread instead of white bread to manufacture it a little healthier, but it turned out that it added a very sweet flavor - it tasted like the bread was made of honey!  I looked at the ingredients list on behalf of the bread as well as it said that it contained molasses, which is probably what made everything taste so sweet.  Next time I&#8217;ll just utilize white bread or manufacture sure that the bread I utilize doesn&#8217;t contain molasses or honey.
The good thing about this soup was that I used reduced sodium broth.  When I tasted the soup, it really did not taste salty at all!  Fabulous!
I would manufacture this soup again since it was so easy to make, but I&#8217;m definitely going to endeavour tweaking the recipe a little bit more next time.  We&#8217;ll see how it goes.

After my walk, I thought about having something else to eat, but my stomach just wasn&#8217;t up to it since I was full from all of the cantaloupe.  So instead I just had an icy cold glass of water.  Sooo good!  Nothing better than water to quench your thirst!
Hope your day is off to a terrific start!
